A young man hears a chance phone call outside a diner early morning "IT'S HAPPENING, IT'S REALLY HAPPENING THEY'RE ABOUT TO RELEASE THE NUCLEAR IN THIS AREA".
and missiles will hit his city in 70 minutes.
OK, I don't think I've mention how much I love this movie. It's is Fu*king great! I watched this when I was very young and it's never gotten out of my head. I watched MGM a lot growing up (proud to say) MGM has magical movies. This movie is perfect for a good nights thrill or having your friends over. The plot is amazing, I was going crazy when Harry is looking for Julie a girl he really likes before the missiles hit their town. This movie is like one of those dreams you have where your all alone and you have to get out of a situation as soon as possible or your a gonner. A lot of riots and looting happen in this movie. We meet some pretty crazy characters in this movie. I literally couldn't stop panicking because I wasn't sure if they were going to get out the city in time (Or do they?) hmmm... that's the question. Obviously you'll have to watch it if you want to see whether they live or not. This movie is totally worth it! I love how Harry only just met Julie the other day yet he's risking everything to find her. I thought he would have left her I mean he just met her... If I was him (I would lol). And you know another thrilling thing about this movie? While the rest of the town is looting shops and causing riots it seems Julie and Harry are the only ones that want to survive, making it hard to ask for help + they have to find someone who can fly a HELICOPTER if they want to survive so... NO BIG DEAL.
What audience would you recommend this to?
Teenagers & adults and even children! Thank god I watched it when I was little or else I wouldn't be here to tell you how fu*cking wonderful it is! PEOPLE WHO LOVE THE 80'S.
